JENNIFER ANCEL REITER, formerly practiced with Winston & Strawn, LLP. Ms. Ancel Reiter received her law degree from Northwestern University School of Law and her bachelors degree from Indiana University. Ms. Ancel Reiter is licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois and the 7th Circuit.
Ms. Ancel Reiter’s practice is concentrated in the areas of special education law, and the representation of individuals, and parents of children with disabilities. She is a popular speaker on the topic of special education law and founded Hope and Help for Special Kids, a group dedicated to providing information and advocacy services to parents of children with disabilities.
Ms. Ancel Reiter began her practice of law with the representation of creditors and debtors in all phases of proceedings under the United States Bankruptcy Code. However, having her own child with special needs prompted her to change her area of practice to assisting families of children with disabilities. Her personal experience allows her to help families not only as a professional, but as a parent that has personally experienced all the emotional, financial and family struggles resulting from having a child with unique needs. Her experience with bankruptcy law offers an especially unique perspective for families experiencing the financial issues associated with providing the best available services for children with disabilities.
